ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – After falling at home on Thursday night to SEC opponent Missouri, the UCF men's basketball team will hit the road to take on SEC opponent Alabama Sunday. The Knights and the No. 24 ranked Crimson Tide will square off at 2 p.m. on ESPNU.
UCF (4-3) has lost three in a row after winning its first four of the 2017-18 season. The Knights look to bounce back against an Alabama (6-1) team that has only lost to No. 14 Minnesota.
The Crimson Tide is coming off a win over Louisiana Tech, and has also won games over BYU, UT-Arlington, and the American Athletic Conference's Memphis.
Freshman Collin Sexton leads four Alabama players in double figures with an impressive 24.7 points per game. Sexton is shooting over 50 percent from the floor, 48 percent from three-point range, and leads the Crimson Tide with 25 assists.
A.J. Davis has led the Knights through seven games, averaging a double-double with 10.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. His rebounding average leads The American and ranks 14th in the nation. He has recorded double figure boards in six of seven games this season.
