ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The road stretch continues for the UCF women's basketball team, as the Knights will head to the West Coast to take on UC Davis on Sunday. The teams will tip off at 7 p.m. ET in The Pavilion.
 
The Knights (6-4) earned their second consecutive win to start the month of December at Boston on Dec. 13. UCF locked down on defense again to earn a 47-32 victory over the Terriers.
 
UCF LEADERS

  • Zakiya Saunders posted her second 20-point performance of the season at Boston and leads the team with 15.8 points per game. She is tied for second on the team with 17 assists and has 15 steals while shooting 43.2 percent from the floor.
  • Aliyah Gregory is second on the team with 13.8 points per contest and has 10 steals and 10 assists this season.
  • Korneila Wright leads the Knights with 41 assists and 24 steals.
  • Nyala Shuler has a team-leading 6.8 rebounds per game average. She has a team-leading 31 offensive rebounds this season. Shuler is also second on the team with 17 steals.

 
GETTING DEFENSIVE

  • After holding just one opponent under 40 points in the first eight games, the UCF defense has stepped up over the last two outings. The Knights held both Georgia Southern and Boston under 40 on the scoreboard.
  • The Knights have held their opponents to single digits in 11 quarters this season.
  • UCF limited Boston to a season-low two points in the second quarter.


SCOUTING THE AGGIES

  • UC Davis enters the game with a 9-0 overall record.
  • The programs met for the first time last season, with the Aggies coming away with a 77-71 victory in Orlando.  
  • Morgan Bertsch leads UC Davis with 22.1 points per game and has been the leading scorer for the Aggies in all nine contests.
  • Pele Gianotti averages a team-leading 5.3 rebounds per game. Kourtney Eaton leads the Aggies with 59 assists and 12 steals.
