ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, making the trip to Boston to take on the Terriers at 7 p.m.
 
The Knights (5-4) continue December play after earning a 62-38 win over Georgia Southern in CFE Arena on Sunday. UCF stepped up its defensive efforts and held the Eagles to single digits in three quarters.
 
UCF LEADERS

  • A trio of Knights average double figures. Aliyah Gregory and Zakiya Saunders lead the way with match 14.8 points per contest, and Korneila Wright averages 10.0 points per game.
  • Wright also leads the Knights with 34 assists and 21 steals.
  • Nyala Shuler to a team-leading 6.6 rebounds per game average. She has a team-leading 27 offensive rebounds this season. Shuler is also second on the team with 17 steals.
  • Lawriell Wilson is second on the team with 17 assists.


SCOUTING THE TERRIERS

  • Boston enters the game with a 5-3 overall record.
  • The Terriers hold the lone victory in the series, a 69-59 decision on Dec. 29, 1984 at the Queens Christmas Invitational.  
  • Katie Nelson averages 13.1 points per game to lead Boston and is shooting 46.2 percent from three. She also leads the Terriers with 39 assists and 15 steals.
  • Nia Irving pulls down a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per game to go along with 10.1 points per game.

UCF continues its road trip, heading west for a pair of contests in California. The Knights play at UC Davis on Dec. 17 and Pacific on Dec. 20.
