ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's basketball team aims to win its third straight game on Tuesday night when the Knights host Southeastern Louisiana at 7 p.m. at CFE Arena.
After defeating No. 24 Alabama on the road, UCF (6-3) came home to defeat Southern 76-60 on Saturday, the team's largest margin of victory so far in 2017-18. The Knights are 4-1 at CFE Arena and look to win at home for the ninth time in their last 10 games, dating back to last season.
Tacko Fall led the way for UCF in the win over the Jaguars, scoring a season high 18 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting from the field. Fall also grabbed a season best nine rebounds and was named to The American's Weekly Honor Roll for his performance.
Southeastern Louisiana (5-3) comes to Orlando having won four in a row, with victories over Kent State, Samford, Mississippi Valley State and Loyola. Marlain Veal leads three Lions in double figures with 13.5 points per game and 41 assists.
The Knights and the Lions have a somewhat storied history, dating back to Atlantic Sun Conference days. UCF leads the all-time series 7-3 and has won the last four meetings, including a 70-65 victory in 2014, when then freshman B.J. Taylor led the way with 15 points on three 3-pointers.
