Fuller to the Fold

Mercer Preview

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – While the start of the 2017-18 season is just a day away, the 2018-19 season is the topic of conversation Thursday as UCF men's basketball head coach Johnny Dawkins announced the signing of Andreas "Dre" Fuller Jr. to a National Letter intent.

Fuller is a native of Fayetteville, N.C., but he is currently playing at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Fla.

"We're very excited to bring Dre in to be a part of the UCF family next year," Dawkins said. "He's a talented player who has the opportunity to help us in many ways. We can't wait to get Dre on campus at UCF."

Fuller, at 6-foot-6, has played at the point, on the wing and in the post in high school. He averaged 21 points, five assists and eight rebounds per game as a junior, leading Admiral Farragut to the District Finals.

This season's squad will get things started Friday night when the Knights host Mercer at 8 p.m. at CFE Arena.
