LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – On day two of the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic, the UCF men's tennis team featured a pair of players in the consolation singles draw.
No. 4 seed Danny Kerznerman tallied a pair of wins to reach the consolation championship match. The Brooklyn native topped Luke Gamble from Princeton in the quarterfinals in three sets 7-5, 5-7, 10-6. Kerznerman will face Federico Gomez from Louisville, after defeating Christopher Fletcher from George Washington 6-1, 6-3 in the semis.
Enrique Paya reached the semis with a 6-4, 7-6 (2) win over Louisville's Clement Filho. The sophomore could not set up an all Knights final after falling to Gomez 6-1, 6-3.
