ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF assistant rowing coach Conny Kirsch is one of just 10 coaches in the nation who will attend the inaugural NCAA Coaches Academy 2.0 this week.
The exclusive two-day clinic, offered to a select group of coaches, will be hosted by the Alliance of Women's Coaches Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 in Denver, Colorado.
The clinic will feature multiple presentations from some of the most influential women in intercollegiate athletics and will focus on leadership skills and professional development.
"I am very excited to attend the academy and look forward to meeting such a variety of awesome female coaches and administrators," Kirsch said. "This will be a once in a lifetime experience, and I cannot wait to share my knowledge with the UCF coaches."
Nine other coaches will join Kirsch at the clinch. They include: College of the Holy Cross field hockey head coach Lindsay Jackson; St. Francis University softball head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift; United States Air Force Academy women's soccer assistant coach Kiha Sutta; UNLV women's golf head coach Amy Bush-Herzer; University of Southern California women's soccer associate head coach Jennifer Klein; University of the Pacific women's soccer head coach Kerri Scroope; Wellesley College women's soccer head coach Melissa Price; Whitman College women's lacrosse head coach Kirkland Lewis; and University of Illinois wheelchair basketball head coach Stephanie Wheeler.
The Knights concluded their fall schedule earlier this month. UCF will host Tennessee for a two-day scrimmage Jan. 13-14 on Lake Pickett before opening the spring slate on March 3 at the Metro Cup.
