ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF football team is 10-0 and just set a new program record for consecutive wins after defeating Temple, 45-19 on Saturday. On Sunday, the Knights were ranked 12th and 13th in the national polls, climbing one spot in the Associated Press Top 25.
The ranking of 12th in the Coaches Poll is the team's highest ever in-season ranking and ties the highest Coaches Poll ranking ever in program history. Following UCF's historic 2013 campaign, the Knights were ranked 12th in the Coaches Poll and 10th in the AP Poll.
This is the eighth straight week that the Knights have found themselves in the Top 25, and this season's appearance in the polls is the first since said 2013 campaign.
The Knights are 10-0 with one game remaining on the regular season schedule. The Knights take on South Florida this Friday at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. The Bulls, at 9-1, were ranked 19th and 22nd in the national polls on Sunday.
UCF continues to lead the nation in scoring offense, averaging 48.2 points per game. The Knights currently hold the longest streak of games scoring 30 or more points, having done so in each of the 10 games of 2017.
American Athletic Conference foe Memphis was also in the polls on Sunday. The West Division Champions were 16th in the Coaches Poll and 17th in the AP Poll.
