ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – As the UCF women's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule, head coach Bryan Koniecko announced that the Domenika Turkovic signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Knights starting in 2018.
"We are really excited to announce that Domenika will be a Knight," Koniecko said. "Not only is she a great tennis player. More importantly, Domenika comes from a great family that I have had the pleasure to get to know. Domenika is a phenomenal student and possesses many qualities that will make her a successful student-athlete at the University of Central Florida. We are thrilled to welcome her to the UCF family."
Turkovic is the No. 1 ranked junior player in Croatia. The native of Zagreb, won the Croatian Doubles National Junior Championship, as well as several other junior titles in her home country. In July, Turkovic qualified for the main singles and doubles draws of the 2017 European Championships in Klosters, Switzerland.
Turkovic also qualified for the ITF Pro Circuit, playing in eight $15,000-level events across Eastern Europe this year.
