ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – A huge game at Spectrum Stadium on Black Friday is looming in just more than a week. But UCF head coach Scott Frost is confident his team is concerned only with Temple this week.
The No. 12-ranked Knights travel to Philadelphia for a Noon kickoff Saturday vs. the Owls. Temple is 5-5 on the season, will be playing its final home game of the season and looking to knock UCF from the ranks of the undefeated. The Owls have won three of their last five and have improved considerably over the early portion of the season, according to Frost.
Frost met with the media following practice Thursday morning and said his team is prepared to face a hungry Temple squad.
"We have to be ready for a fight up there," Frost said. "They're improving as a football team. I know they're excited about where they are. We've got to go up there ready to win in a physical game."
Of course, someone had to ask the obligatory question about weather with a warm-weather/Florida team headed up north. With a favorable forecast and his background in football, Frost doesn't believe weather will be a factor on Saturday.
"The weather report is actually pretty good," Frost said. "I think it's supposed to be in the 50s or 60s. That's not cold. That's just our kids having the right mindset. Once you get up there and get running … it's going to feel great. My big concern is just us playing well against a good team."

Frost also made his usual early Thursday morning appearance on the Open Mike Radio Show with Mike Bianchi and Brandon Kravitz on FM 96.9 The Game. He discussed a number of topics on Open Mike.
Frost was aksed about keeping in touch with former UCF players, despite many of them not having played for him.
"I've been in the NFL and there were times when guys got care packages from schools," Frost said. "It's always neat when the box shows up because everybody around the locker room comes and takes a look at it. We certainly have enough to send them to guys that are still playing. Usually, you get some good response from them. It's just a good way to send stuff that guys can wear with pride and show off their school at the next level."
Bianchi also had to ask a diaper-changing question to the new father.
"I'm not quite as efficient at that yet," Frost said. "We're still working. You know, we've got to prepare well. I'm not as prepared for that yet."
