ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – UCF head men's golf coach Bryce Wallor has announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Pedro Lencart Silva (Portugal) and Clement Charmasson (France) will join the Knights for the 2018-19 campaign.

Lencart Silva is currently ranked No. 178 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. He is the 2017 British Boys Amateur Champion. In addition to that prestigious victory, he turned in impressive results in a number of other amateur tournaments throughout Europe this year. Lencart Silva was third at the International Austrian Schulmeisterschaften 2017 Championship and recorded a sixth-place finish at the 2017 German Boys Championship.

Charmasson is rated the No. 377 player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings as of this release. Charmasson won the 2017 Grand Prix de PACA. He also recorded a ninth-place finish at the 2017 British Boys Amateur Championship and finished in 25th at the 2017 European Boys Team Championship.

"This 2018 signing class is truly a special one for our program," Wallor said. "We have attracted what I feel are two extremely special players and young men in Pedro Lencart Silva and Clement Charmasson. Having watched these two young men compete over the last year, I have seen two young men that can command a ball flight around 18 holes of golf and two very good short game players. I have also been impressed with the sense of family that I have witnessed between these young men and their parents. Both the Lencart and Charmasson families value education and you can see it in how they have been prepared for university life from an academic perspective."

The UCF men's golf team, which finished 14th at the 2017 NCAA Championship, will resume its 2017-18 schedule in February.
