ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – Two weeks ago, the UCF football team debuted at 18th in the first College Football Playoff Rankings of the 2017 season. After staying put at 18th last week, the Knights finally moved up three spots to number 15 Tuesday night, as announced on ESPN.

At 9-0, UCF is one of just four remaining undefeated teams in the nation. The Knights have tied a program record for consecutive wins and with a win over Temple on Saturday, UCF would set a new school best with 10 straight wins.

The Knights are also currently ranked 12th in the Coaches Poll and 14th in the AP Poll. The rank of 12 is the highest ever in-season ranking for UCF, just two shy of the program's best ever national ranking of 10, achieved following the 2013 season. That year the Knights went 12-1, winning the American Athletic Conference Championship and the Fiesta Bowl.

Alabama was number one in Tuesday night's rankings, followed by Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma.

UCF continues the 2017 campaign Saturday at Temple. The Knights and the Owls are set for a noon kickoff on ESPNU. The final game of the regular season is Friday, Nov. 24.  UCF hosts USF at Spectrum Stadium at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
