ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team opens a three-game road stretch on Monday at Chattanooga.
 
The Knights and Mocs will tip off at 6:30 p.m. in Maclellan Gym.
 
LAST TIME OUT

  • Senior Fifi Ndour posted the sixth double-double of her career, but a fourth quarter rally fell just short as the Knights dropped a 73-64 decision to Mercer.
  • The Dakar, Senegal native scored a career-high 24 points on 10-11 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds.
  • Junior Kayla Thigpen and redshirt senior Zakiya Saunders added 14 and 11 points, respectively, while sophomore Korneila Wright dished out eight assists.

 
FULL SLATE

  • UCF faces a challenging slate in 2017-18.
  • The Knights have or will face 12 programs who advanced to the NCAA or WNIT tournaments a year ago.
  • The Black and Gold will take on four teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll a total of seven times this season.

 
SCOUTING THE MOCS

  • Chattanooga opened the 2017-18 season at Green Bay, dropping a 60-30 decision.
  • The Mocs were picked to finish second in the Southern Conference preseason poll and return seven letterwinners from a year ago.
  • Aryanna Gilbert led Chattanooga with 10 points at Green Bay, and was just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds. Gilbert also finished with three blocks.

 
SCOUTING THE MOCS
UCF continues its road stretch with a Nov. 17 contest at Gardner-Webb, followed by a Nov. 19 matchup at Virginia Tech. The Knights return to CFE Arena on Nov. 22 to host Elon at 2 p.m.
