ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Our UCF Knights celebrated the 3rd Annual Halloween Knights at the East Altamonte Boys and Girls Club. After a few student-athlete introductions and the formation of teams, the children and Knights headed outside to play a game of kickball. Overflowing the field with smiles and giggles, little Knights showed just how competitive they are.
"It was fun to see the kids enjoy our presence. I loved when they recited the mission statement of the Boys and Girls Club. I'm glad I could make it this year to spend time with the kids," UCF Women's Basketball junior Tolulope Omokore said.
Creativity and personalities were shown through face painting choices and the coloring of Halloween themed pictures. Sticky fingered and wide-eyed, the future Knights partook in some energy catalyzing treats and hesitantly put their hands into mystery boxes.
Though this Halloween event is a for sure treat for all parties involved, the UCF Student-Athlete Welfare and Development Office will have monthly visits set up to go and mentor the children at the East Altamonte Boys and Girls Club in the spring.
