ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – With just one week left until the start of the 2017-18 basketball seasons, the UCF men's and women's basketball programs held the 2017 UCF Basketball Tipoff Luncheon on Friday afternoon.
Before heading to their respective practices, the Knights welcomed fans to CFE Arena for the inaugural luncheon that featured comments from UCF head coaches Katie Abrahamson-Henderson and Johnny Dawkins, players from both teams, and a keynote address from Dawkins' former Duke teammate and current ESPN analyst Jay Bilas.

"I think UCF is ready to take off. It's got all of the characteristics that so many great programs that I see have," Bilas said. "You can see what Scott Frost is doing with football, and what Johnny Dawkins and Coach ABE are doing with basketball here. This is just the beginning of something that's going to be really good for a long time. I think the people that get in on the ground floor here are going to be proud of what they've helped to build."
