ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCFhead coach Jeanette Bolden announced the 2018 track and field schedule on Friday.
The Knights open the indoor season on Jan. 13 at the UAB Blazer Invitational in Birmingham, followed by the Rod McCravy Memorial Jan. 19-20 in Lexington, Ky. UCF will then head to the Fred Sevigne Invitational Feb. 2-3 in Lincoln, Neb. Before competing at the Music City Challenge Feb. 9-10 in Nashville.
UCF will look to defend its American Athletic Conference indoor title in Birmingham as the 2018 championship will take place Feb. 23-24. Last season the Knights collected their first league crown since the 2013 Conference USA title.
The outdoor season begins in Orlando, as the Knights host the annual UCF Black and Gold Challenge March 16-17.
UCF then heads to Tampa for the USF Invitational March 23-24 before traveling to Gainesville for the Pepsi Florida Relays March 29-31.
Staying in the Sunshine State, the Knights will compete at the UNF Invitational April 7 and the Tom Jones Memorial April 13.
The Knights will split time between UNF of April 26 and the Penn Relays April 26-28 as their final tune-up before conference.
The 2018 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship will take place May 11-13 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Knights finished fourth at the 2017 championships.
The 2018 NCAA Regionals will be held in Tampa from May 24-26, with the NCAA Championships returning to Eugene, Ore. June 6-10.
