Bai Paces Knights

VALENTINE, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) -- Bobby Bai turned in a Top 10 finish playing as an individual at the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State.

Bai finished tied for sixth after Tuesday's final round. He shot a 1-over 73 in the third round, after carding the second-lowest score in UCF history (63, -10) on Monday. Bai, who qualified for the tournament as an individual, did not contribute to the Knights' team scores. Bai's three-round total of 206 (-10) was just five strokes off the winning score of -15 by Hayden Shieh of Santa Clara.

As a team, UCF finished tied for seventh. Of those in the team lineup, Kyler Tate was the top Knights' finisher at -6. He finished tied for 17th. Donnie Trosper tied for 20th after finishing -5.

Juuso Kahlos was tied for 28th with a final tally of -3. Manuel Elvira finished at even par after three rounds and was tied for 44th. Jake Grula rounded out the UCF lineup. He was tied for 62nd at +5 for the tournament.

Santa Clara took the team title at -39. Tennessee (-36) and Kansas (-30) rounded out the top three in the 13-team event. The Knights were 15-under for the tournament.

UCF is back in action again Oct. 22-24 at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, held at Isleworth.
