ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Every Friday during fall practice for the UCF baseball team, UCFKnights.com will post a weekly recap, as well as a focus on a position group. Week five features the newcoming pitchers.
JJ Montgomery and Jordan Spicer have been impressive during fall camp. Of the 20 newcomers in the 2017 recruiting class, nine will do their work on the mound. Lefties Jaylyn Whitehead and Luis Ferrer have improved from the start of camp. Right handers Jeffrey Hakanson, Isaiah Musa, Garrett Westberg, David Litchfield and Jack Sinclair will provide significant depth to an already solid pitching staff.
On Thursday, the newest batch of Knights were ranked by D1Baseball.com as the 23rd best class in the nation.
