ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – With less than three weeks before the UCF men's basketball team hits the court for the 2017-18 season, the Knights held their annual media day Tuesday inside the team's practice facility.

Following a rousing game of knockout for the media members attending the event, UCF players conducted interviews before head coach Johnny Dawkins addressed the group.

"I thought it was a good season, but we want to have great seasons, so our expectations are even higher," Dawkins said. "We have to continue to work. We had a summer that was very productive. None of the guys are complacent. Our depth helps that because there's more competition."

Dawkins spoke on his team's depth and the comfortability of having the majority of the group returning from last year's practices.

"I feel a little more comfortable because there's more familiarity," he said. "Even though we couldn't play with this group, we've had a lot of practices together. They understand the standards that we've established in our program, and that's a big benefit for us."
