ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF sophomore quarterback McKenzie Milton and junior punt returner Mike Hughes were named the American Athletic Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively. The league office announced the awards on Monday.

Milton posted his third 300-yard passing game of the season by going 21-of-27 for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He also contributed a one-yard rushing touchdown, which was his first of the campaign.

The Kapolei, Hawaii, native now has four games with multiple touchdown passes. He has 16 total touchdowns and is ranked second nationally in passing efficiency (203.6) this season.

Hughes returned a punt 66 yards to the house for a touchdown and finished with 118 return yards. It was the first punt return for a touchdown by a Knight since 2007.

For Milton, the weekly accolade by the league was the second of the season. The Knights have now captured a weekly honor five times this year.

UCF heads to Annapolis, Md., to face Navy on Saturday. The kick from Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network
