TAMPA, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF cross country team had a strong showing at the USF Invitational on Friday.
Running on the 5K course at The Claw on the USF campus, five of the Knights finished in the top 50. Kalleigh Forrester led the way, crossing the line in 19:01.7 for 10th place. Beth Williams continued her strong rookie season, taking 13th with a time of 19:15.3.
Rosie Chamberlain (19:36.6), Victoria Jung (19:56.2) and Jessica Dolan (20:09.5) joined Forrester and Williams in the top 50.
Emily Jenkinson (20:34.9), Laura Korsmit (21:00.3), Crystal Tejeda (21:03.4), Kayla McGowan (21:13.5) and Shiree Hinds (21:59.4) all represented the Black and Gold at the invitational on Friday evening.
The Knights will take a week off before heading to Philadelphia, Pa. for the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championship.
