KANSAS CITY, Mo. (UCFKnights.com) - For the ninth consecutive season, the UCF women's soccer program was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches for excellence in the classroom with a Team Academic Award.
The Knights compiled a 3.35 grade-point average during the 2016-17 academic year. A total of 827 soccer teams (287 men, 540 women) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches - formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) - Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.
UCF has earned the accolade each year dating back to 2009.
The No. 10 Knights, currently on a nine-match unbeaten streak, return to action on Sunday at SMU. UCF (8-1-1, 4-0-1 The American) earned a 4-0 victory at Houston on Thursday night.
