ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The NFL season gets underway this Thursday when the New England Patriots host the Kansas City Chiefs and UCF will have 17 former players on NFL rosters as week one commences.
A trio of Knights have been playing in the NFL for over a decade now. Brandon Marshall enters his 13th season in 2017, now a member of the New York Giants, Matt Prater begins year 12 and his fourth with the Detroit Lions, and Josh Sitton – in his second year with the Chicago Bears – gets set for his 11th campaign in the NFL.
A pair of Knights were also recently named captains of their teams heading into the 2017 season. Sitton was named a captain of the Bears and Josh Robinson was named a captain on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
