LAKELAND, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Drizzly weather did not deter the UCF cross country team, as the Knights captured the FL Runners Invitational team title on Friday evening.
All eight UCF competitors finished among the top 15 Division I runners, with five Knights landing in the top eight on the 5K course at Holloway Park.
Kalleigh Forrester was the top finisher for UCF, and was the fastest Division I competitor with a time of 19:45.6.
Marissa Codispodi (20:02.3), Victoria Jung (20:16.7), Rosie Chamberlain (20:42.1) and Laura Korsmit (20:51.6) all placed in the top eight. Shiree Hinds (21:31.3), Emily Jenkinson (21:35 and Crystal Tejeda (21:46.8) joined their teammates in the top 15.
