ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Three-time American Athletic Conference champion UCF Rowing announced its 2017-18 racing schedule on Wednesday.
 
The fall portion of the slate features a trio of scrimmages along with the Princeton Chase. The Knights open the fall on Oct. 6 at Jacksonville before hosting Nova Southeastern on Oct. 14 at Lake Pickett.
 
Following the Princeton Chase on Oct. 29, the Knights will head to Tuscaloosa for a scrimmage at Alabama.
 
UCF will host a two-day scrimmage against Tennessee Jan. 13-14 on Lake Pickett before opening the spring portion of its schedule.
 
Making its 21st consecutive appearance, UCF opens the spring on March 3 at the Metro Cup.  The annual Winter Park event takes place on Lake Maitland.
 
The Knights host fellow American Athletic Conference squad UConn, along with Jacksonville, for a regatta on Lake Pickett March 16.
 
Closing out March and opening April, UCF will make back-to-back trips to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. The Knights will race Miami and Wisconsin on March 30 before competing in the Sunshine State Invite April 6-7.
 
The Knights head to the Clemson Invite April 14-15 before closing out the regular season at the Longhorn Invite on April 28.
 
UCF looks to defend its title for the fourth straight season when the Knights head to Cherry Hill, N.J. on May 12.
 
The 2018 NCAA Championships will take place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota May 25-27.
 
The Knights rowed to their third consecutive American Athletic Conference championship last spring, sweeping all six events in Sarasota. Just two weeks later, UCF posted its highest NCAA finish in program history, finishing 18th in West Windsor, N.J.
