BOCA RATON, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – A pair of top 10 finishes led the UCF cross country team to a third place finish at the FAU Invitational on Friday evening.
Making her UCF debut, Beth Williams was the first Knight across the finish line. She took ninth with a time of 19:09.02. Senior Rosie Chamberlain was just behind her, crossing the line in 19:12.99 for 10th place.
Seniors Marissa Codispodi and Kalleigh Forrester made it four Knights in the top 20. Codispodi took 18th with a mark of 19:27.54 and Forrester finished 20th in a time of 19:38.08.
Victoria Jung (20:32.12), Laura Korsmit (20:45.59) and Emily Jenkinson (20:58.15) contributed to UCF's score. Crystal Tejeda (21:21.24), Kayla McGowan (21:30.47) and Shiree Hinds (21:55.26) also raced for the Black and Gold.
UCF returns to action on September 9 at the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville.
