UCF's game against Memphis, originally scheduled for Sept. 9, will now take place Sept. 30 at Spectrum Stadium. On Monday it was announced that kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN2.
MARYLAND GAME - NOTES TO KNOW
- UCF will go 22 days without playing a football game, before kicking off with Maryland on Sept. 23. The Knights played their opener on Aug. 31, but missed the last two weeks due to Hurricane Irma.
- UCF is one of three Florida schools that have played just one game through three weeks (also Miami and Florida State).
- The Knights won their first game of 2017 with a 61-17 victory over FIU and looks to go 2-0 for the first time since the 2013 season on Saturday.
- That year was also the last and only time UCF has defeated a team from the Big Ten, winning 34-31 at Penn State
- Last season's 30-24 double overtime victory by Maryland was the only meeting in the all-time series between the Knights and the Terps.
- Both UCF and Maryland are under the leadership of second year coaches as Scott Frost led the Knights to a 6-7 record in 2016, while DJ Durkin recorded a 6-7 mark with the Terrapins last season.

With two weeks off from games due to the storm, the Knights are finally back to a normal week of practice, as they began preparing for this weekend's road game on Monday.
"Well it's early, but Monday felt like Monday," Frost told the media at his weekly press conference. "It's the first time in a couple weeks that a day has felt like it's supposed to feel. The players responded well. I thought they came out and practiced really well today, so hopefully we're taking the first steps to getting back on a regular schedule."
Being able to get his players back to town late last week and practice for a couple days made Frost happy. It was a chance to get rid of some rust before heading into game prep on Monday.
"Yeah I think those practices last week were key for us," Frost said. "If we would have come out rusty today, it wouldn't have been the best for our preparation, but getting those Thursday and Friday practices in helped the players feel like they were ready to go again."
