TEMPE, Ariz. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 24 UCF women's soccer team returns to action with a pair of matches at the Sun Devil Desert Classic in Tempe, Ariz. this weekend.
UCF (2-1) opens against Arizona on Friday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. MT. The Knights face the host of the tournament, Arizona State, on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. MT.
Both contests will feature live stats via StatBroadcast. The Pac-12 Networks will broadcast Sunday's matchup against the Sun Devils.
The Series
• UCF heads into the weekend having faced both programs a combined three times.
• The lone meeting between UCF and Arizona came in 2010, when the squads played to a 1-1 draw in Tucson.
• The Knights have faced Arizona State twice, with both squads collecting a victory.
Receiving Recognition
• The Knights return to the pitch after entering the Top 25 rankings on Tuesday. UCF jumped in at No. 24 after topping then-No. 4 UNC on Aug. 25.
• Christine Creighton was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after netting the game-winning goal against the Tar Heels.
• Dina Orschmann was tabbed as The American's Rookie of the Week after sending the equalizer in the net against UNC.
