FROST BYTES
On scouting for Florida International…
"It's a challenge, but typically in your first game, you're going to run what we've been practicing with fall camp anyway. A lot of what of what we run needs to translate to what we can run against them. We're going to take our best guess as to what they're going to be doing. They're in the same boat that we were in last year going into the game. It's impossible to get too much in when you haven't had that much time. I'm sure those coaches have their team ready, and we're doing the best to have ourselves ready."

On the depth chart and using players…
"Every player on the team is valuable. We try all the time to make every player from the first guy to the last guy on the roster feel like they're wanted and needed. The more those guys can embrace their role the better team we'll be. We've had really good scout team play through last year.  It was really good out there today. If those guys do the best at their job every day, we're going to be a better team."

On the biggest improvements in offseason…
"Some of the early enrollees from last year look completely different from the fall. That's the advantage of having them here during the spring. Antwan Collier comes to mind. He's had a really good camp and is light years ahead of where he was in the spring. Top to bottom on the roster, I keep giving credit to our strength coach Zach Duval. I think he's doing a great job getting our team ready and changing what we look like and how we run. Seyvon Lowry is another one that I would pick out. He was a backup for us last year, but he's played really well for us this fall. Look for him to have an expanded role."
