ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF volleyball team officially wrapped up its preseason camp on Saturday with the annual Black and Gold Scrimmage in the Venue.
"It was great to see our players on the court," head coach Todd Dagenais said. "They handled the game atmosphere well. We have a lot of depth on left side, we've got depth in the middle. The back court is taken care of. I really like where we are in terms of depth. We'll see how it all comes together. We'll see what the potential is, but you can see that it's there."

The Knights played four sets with players rotating between the two teams. Redshirt-senior Kia Bright led the way with a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs, while hitting .255 on the afternoon. Fellow redshirt-senior Taylor Wickey hit .653 with 15 kills. Jordan Pingel picked up where she left off last season with 24 digs.

Saturday was the first opportunity for the seven newcomers two don the Black and Gold in a competitive atmosphere. Erin Olson racked up 43 assists, while Alex Fisher added 18. Local product Anne-Marie Watson and Kristina Fisher added 12 and 10 kills, respectively.
UCF opens the 2017 campaign with nine matches on the road, before returning home for the VolleyKnights Invitational on Sept. 15 against Virginia.
