MIKE BIANCHI TO NATIONAL MEDIA: PAY ATTENTION TO SHAQUEM GRIFFIN
Morning radio host of 96.9 The Game's Open Mike and Orlando Sentinel Columnest Mike Bianchi wrote a column in Thursday morning's paper, calling for more national attention for UCF's Shaquem Griffin. "He is absolutely the best story in college football," Bianchi wrote.  To read the entire piece, click the link below.

ERIK CHINANDER POST-PRACTICE
On Wednesday's scrimmage...
"The ones and twos tackled really well. We only had a couple misses and those misses were with proper leverage and the other guys got there, so that's a major positive. The three group needs to get the tackling down a little bit."

On the defensive line and linebackers...
"I feel very comfortable with the front seven. I feel comfortable with either the ones or the twos, whoever has to come in. We've got as much depth as we could ever hope for and I feel great about this front seven."

On the cornerbacks...
"At corner, we some people do some good things yesterday. Brandon Moore really showed that he could tackle yesterday. That's a bigger deal as a thinner guy who needs to fill out a bit and struggled to tackle early in his career. He tackled really well yesterday. Rashard Causey had a pick. Chris Johnson did some nice things. Bryon Brown did some things. Keenan Johnson moved around in nickel and at corner. There's still two weeks of competition, but I felt really good about those guys yesterday."

TROY WALTERS
On keeping energy going in practice...
"Sometimes it's the nature of the guys you have. We have a lot of younger guys on offense. Sometimes younger guys don't want to step up and be vocal. We need everybody. We need everybody to bring passion, enery, excitement, because it's contagious. That's what it's going to take to be successful."

On plans next two weeks...
"We're two weeks away from FIU, so we need to start fine-tuning things. Roles are going to be established, because here in a few days we're going to start game planning and getting ready for FIU. It's all about detail and execution."
