ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After totaling the most wins by a first-year head coach in program history, head baseball coach Greg Lovelady announced the dates for his Advance Hitting Clinics and Youth Camp.
Three sessions of the Advanced Hitting Clinic will take place in September, October and November. Each session features three 90-minute workouts on Mondays (Sept. 11, 18, 25 – Oct. 9, 16, 23 – Nov. 13, 20, 27) from 6:30-8 p.m. Campers will receive high-level instruction from the UCF coaching staff and current players. This clinic will also consist of on-field batting practice under the lights, weight room rotation, and a variety of drills in state of the art batting cages.
The Youth Camp will be held Dec. 27-29. The Knights coaching staff will instruct participants in four phases of the game – hitting, pitching, catching and fielding. Campers will work on their skills in drills and in games. The camp is designed for young players from kindergarten through eighth grade to learn the game as well as develop their skills. All campers will receive a complimentary t-shirt.
