ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's soccer team is gearing up for its final tune-up of the preseason. The Knights host UNF in an exhibition contest on Saturday at 7 p.m. Admission is free at the UCF Soccer Complex.
In its first exhibition, UCF topped Miami 3-0 on Wednesday evening. Kayla Adamek started the Black and Gold in the third minute with a rainbow shot over the Hurricanes goalkeeper. Julia Moore made it 2-0 in the 19th minute. Morgan Ferrara added a goal of her own in the 73rd minute to give the Knights the final mark of 3-0.
UNF posted a 6-9-2 overall mark in 2016 and topped Daytona State, 4-1, in an exhibition contest on Wednesday afternoon.
The Knights officially open the season at No. 4 South Carolina on Aug. 18, and return to the UCF Soccer Complex to host Stetson on Aug. 20.
