ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) - With two full weeks of practice behind them, the Knights hit the field again Friday morning for the second of four straight days of #KnightsCamp. The UCF football team has less than three weeks until the 2017 season kicks off Aug. 31 against FIU at Spectrum Stadium.

LINEBACKERS LOOKING GOOD
Most fans know about outside linebacker Shaquem Griffin at this point. Although the rest of the linebacker corps may not be as well known, the entire group has impressed head coach Scott Frost during camp.

"The linebackers have been great. We've got four outside guys that I feel great about. Inside, Chequan [Burkett] and Pat [Jasinski] are doing an unbelievable job, Nate Evans and Gabe Luyanda are doing great too. And we got some young guys that are great ball players, so coming into the year I think that was a position we were worried about the depth of, but they've been really good so far in camp." - Scott Frost

On the next step for the offense…
"Between the running backs and the offensive line, we need to convert third downs. Third and shorts, we didn't have a high enough percentage. When we need a yard, we need to get a yard."

On the kick return game…
"I think we have more able and capable bodies to man the different special team positions this year. They have some special guys that can return them, so they're taking pride in that. If we give a couple of those guys some space, we'll be able to get some big plays."

On the quarterbacks progression…
"McKenzie Milton is way ahead of where he was last year. I think both freshmen quarterbacks have been doing some good things. Darriel Mack Jr. had his best day today. Noah Vedral has been on point. He came in knowing the offense and has gotten more comfortable quickly. They all have a lot of talent, so we look forward to watching them progress."
