Q. Why did you choose UCF?
JP: I chose UCF because I felt immediately at home here. The team and coaches welcomed me with open arms and I fell in love with the campus and the community.

Q. Why did you pick your jersey number?
JP: I have been number four since I started playing club back when I was 12 because I have always been a huge Brett Favre fan and he was number four.

Q. When and why did you start playing volleyball?
JP: I have been playing volleyball as long as I can remember because I grew up in a volleyball family. Both my parents played in college and coached after graduating, so it's in my genes.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?
JP: In my spare time, I love to go to the beach and spend time with friends. I enjoy doing spontaneous things with people and being social.

Q. What is something that people might be surprised to know about you?
JP: Something people might be surprised to know about me is that I have "Styrophobia" aka fear of Styrofoam. I can't stand that stuff!

Q. What is the best advice you have ever received?
JP: The best advice I have received was from my mom. She always told me to control what I can control and to not stress about what is out of my control. That has helped me in all aspects of life.

Q. What is your favorite movie?
JP: My favorite movie is 21 Jump Street.

Q. What is your favorite sport other than volleyball?
JP: I enjoy watching baseball and football.

Q. How do your friends describe you?
JP: My friends would describe me as someone with a sarcastic sense of humor and fun to be around.

Q. What is your favorite UCF memory?
JP: My favorite UCF memory was earning my 1000th dig against USF last season. I remember the exact dig it was and I was presented with the game ball after the match.
