ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – Matt Williams led the way with 17 points and shot 5-of-8 from three-point range, as the Miami Heat defeated the Washington Wizards 91-87 Monday evening in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Williams was 6-of-9 from the field overall and added two rebounds in 24 minutes of action. With the victory the Heat improved to 2-0 in Las Vegas, having defeated the San Antonio Spurs 75-74 on Saturday.

Through two games in Las Vegas, Williams is averaging 14.0 points per game, shooting 50 percent from the field and knocking down four three-pointers per contest. The only player in the Las Vegas Summer League to average more threes per game was Klay Thompson who hit 10 in just two total games played.
Williams and Miami will look to continue their winning ways tonight against Dallas. The Heat and the Mavericks are scheduled to tip-off at 8 p.m. ET on NBA TV in the final regular season game of the summer.
The Las Vegas Summer League Playoffs will begin tomorrow and continue through the championship game on July 17.
