EUGENE, Ore. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team was represented by the 4x100 relay team at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the University of Oregon's historic Hayward Field on Thursday.
The squad, which consisted of Ashley Jocelyn, J'Nea Bellamy, Loren Gallmon and SheKara Martin, finished sixth in their heat with a time of 44.73.
Finishing 16th overall in the standings, Thursday's relay squad posted the fastest time and best finish since 2014 when UCF posted a 44.15 mark to take 11th overall.
This marked the ninth straight season that UCF has sent student-athletes to the outdoor championships. It was also the fourth time in the last five seasons that UCF has had a 4x100 relay team competing in Eugene. J'Nea Bellamy closed out her UCF career making her third appearance at nationals, as she was a member of the 2014 and 2015 relays and competed in the 100 and 200-meter dash in 2015.
