ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF has seven players competing across the country in either the National Premiere Soccer League (NPSL) or Premier Development League (PDL) over the summer. These Knights are playing contests in Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Below are updates on UCF players competing in these leagues through June 29.
Matias Pyysalo – Florida Kraze United (NPSL)
- Started and playd a full 90 minutes in four matches
- The Kraze United are 4-4-0 this season
Alex Shields – Jacksonville Armada (NPSL)
- Started vs. Miami Fusion (5/28 – L)
- The Armada are 4-2-2 on the campaign
Jesus Colombo – Jacksonville Armada (NPSL)
- Started four matches and appeared in a total of six contests
- Score the opening marker in a 3-0 win against Naples United (5/20)
- Delivered a goal in the 5-1 victory over the Florida Kraze United (6/16)
- The Armada have posted a 4-2-2 mark this season
Neico Regent – Reading United AC (PDL)
- Appeared in six matches, firing one shot
- Reading United (8-1) is 5-1 when Regent sees game action
Zachary Waitman – SIMA Aguilas (PDL)
- Appeared in seven matches, registering one assist and one shot
- Notched an assist in a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies U23 squad (6/22)
- SIMA (8-0-1) has posted a 5-0-1 when Waitman has seen game action
Walker Dawkins – South Georgia Tormenta FC (PDL)

- Played five matches and tallied one shot
- Tomenta (4-2-4) has posted a 4-1 record with Dawkins on the pitch
Matt Rosenberg – South Georgia Tormenta FC (PDL)
- Tallied a 3-0 record as a goalkeeper, making 11 saves without yielding a goal
- Made three saves in a 1-0 shutout against Tri-Cities Otters (6/24)
- Notched a pair of 4-0 victories at SC United Bantams on 6/17 and 6/27, recording a combined eight saves
- Earned honorable mention distinction on the PDL Team of the Week on 6/22
