ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Following the first three weeks of the season, the bats for Ray Alejo, Anthony George, Dallas Beaver, Rylan Thomas and Matthew Mika are heating up in various Collegiate Summer Leagues across the nation. Bryce Tucker also attended a training camp invite for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.
Below are highlights through games played through June 26.
Thad Ward – Matsu Minter (Alaska)
- Tallied a 2-1 record with a 2.20 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 16.1 innings
- Current streak of 5.1 innings over three appearances without allowing a run
- Earned back-to-back appearances against the Chuguak Chinooks on June 22 and June 25
- Fanned four over 3.1 innings against the Anchorage Bucs (6/17)
Bryce Tucker – Orleans Firebirds (Cape Cod)
- Posted a 0.00 ERA with three strikeouts in 3.0 innings from June 15-19
- Attended a training camp invite for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team from June 20-26
- Threw one inning of relief and struck out the side, while allowing one hit for Team USA vs. Catawba Valley All Stars (6/23)
Ray Alejo – Altamonte Springs Scorpions (Florida)
- Pacing the Florida League with a .432 average
- Tallied two doubles, one triple and three homers, while driving in seven runs
- Went 5-for-5 with a triple and two homers along with four RBI vs. the Sanford River Rats (6/2)
- Tallied a 2-for-3 performance with one RBI vs. the Winter Garden Squeeze (6/7)
- Picked up three hits against the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs (6/8)
- Contributed two base knocks vs. the Deland Suns (6/15)

- Notched three base knocks vs. the Winter Garden Squeeze (6/19)
- Tallied two hits against the Deland Suns (6/15) and Winter Park Diamond Dogs (6/22)
Dallas Beaver – Cincinnati Steam (Great Lakes)
- Posted a .364 batting average with six doubles and one triple, while driving in nine runs
- Went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, two doubles and one RBI against the Richmond Jazz (6/16)
- Drove in two runs vs. the Lima Locos (6/25) and Grand Lake Mariners (6/22)
- Notched two hits or more in six-straight games from 6/11 to 6/16
Matthew Mika – Lakeshore Chinooks (Northwoods)
- Compiled a .319 batting average with two doubles and four RBI
- Notched two hits and two RBI at Green Bay Bullfrogs (6/25)
- Tallied three hits and three stolen bases vs. Battle Creek Bombers (6/21)
- Went 4-for-4 and scored three times at Battle Creek Bombers (6/15)
