ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- UCF sophomore Kyler Tate has been named Honorable Mention All-America by PING and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The NCAA Division I PING All-America teams have been announced by the GCAA. Just 62 golfers in all of NCAA DIvision I were recognized as first-team, second-team, third-team or honorable mention All-America. Tate is the first Knight to earn PING All-America honors of any sort since Greg Eason was named First-Team All-America and Ricardo Gouveia was named to Third-Team All-America following the 2013-14 season.
Tate led the Knights to a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Championship earlier this year. As an individual, he finished in a tie for 23rd at the national championship event.
