Bai Advances at British Amateur

Match Play Draw Stroke Play Results

KENT, England (UCFKnights.com) -- Zheng Kai Bai, also known as Bobby Bai at UCF, has qualified for match play at the 122nd British Amateur Championship, being held at Royal St. George's. 

Bai shot an opening-round 74, but rebounded with stellar 66 in the second round of stroke play. That second round propelled him into match play at -2 for the two rounds of stroke play.

Bai will take part in the initial round of match play, consisting of 13 matches, on Wednesday. Those 13 winners will go into a bracket of 32 matches. Bai tees off at 8:30 a.m. local time. He'll be facing Scotland's Robert MacIntyre in the first round. 

Two other Knights took part in the opening rounds of the British Amateur. Manuel Elvira finished tied for 115th, carding a 2-over 144. Juuso Kahlos finished tied for 168th, posting a score of 146 (+4).
