Camps Filling Quickly

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The 2017 Central Florida Volleyball camps are just around the corner and spots are filling quickly.

Head coach Todd Dagenais has added the College Prep camp to the mix this summer. The camp will run from July 7-10 and is open to all ages, but the applicant must be confident in their ability to play at a high level. The camp will run from July 7 through July 10. The camp is for highly experienced athletes with the intent of playing college volleyball.

The All Skills camp will run from July 8-10. Open to all ages, the camp focuses on improving the six basic skills needed to play successful volleyball. Skills will be taught in both individual and team settings.

A one-day positional camp will be held July 11. The attacking clinic teaches campers every facet of attacking, from transitioning off the net to a powerful approach and a multi-directional arm swing. The libero clinic will place major emphasis on body posture, footwork, digging techniques, advanced floor skills, and ball handling techniques for serve receive and defense. The setter clinic features technique-packed training sessions with an emphasis on hand position, body posture, footwork patterns, release, location, and decision making.

The Elite All Skills Camp is a one-of-a-kind camp for athletes between the ages of 15 and 18 and it will be held July 12-14. It is designed to expose campers to the daily training systems used in an NCAA Division I and National Team programs. This camp is geared toward high level players who have the dream and potential to play college volleyball, as campers will experience four days of intense, skill-specific training.

Two team camps will be held this year. The Developmental Team Camp runs from July 24-26, while the Competitive Team Camp will be held July 27-30.
