PROVIDENCE, R.I. (UCFKnights.com) – The home slate of games for the 2017-18 men's basketball season is set to be one of the most entertaining in recent memory for UCF fans following the announcement of league pairings by the American Athletic Conference.

The Knights will host all of the other top six teams in the conference standings from a year ago, and add newcomer Wichita State to the crop of programs coming to CFE Arena in 2018. In Wichita State, Cincinnati and SMU, UCF will welcome three NCAA Tournament teams and three teams ranked in the Preseason Top 25 to Orlando next season.

With the addition of the Shockers to The American, the league now has 12 members, changing the conference schedule format from the first four years. Each team will play seven opponents twice, play two only on the road and two only at home.

The Knights will only play East Carolina and Tulsa on the road in 2017-18 and only play Houston and Tulane at home.  UCF will take on Cincinnati, UConn, Memphis, USF, SMU, Temple and Wichita State twice during the season.

The challenging American Athletic Conference schedule comes on the heels of the announcement of a pair of SEC opponents for UCF in 2017-18. The Knights will host Missouri on Nov. 30 at CFE Arena and play at Alabama on Dec. 3 in Tuscaloosa.

UCF fans will also have an opportunity to see the Knights in action over Thanksgiving at the AdvoCare Invitational.  Missouri, St. John's, Oregon State, West Virginia, Long Beach State, Nebraska and Marist are possible opponents in the tournament at ESPN's Wide World of Sports.

The complete 2017-18 schedule will be released later this summer.
