SUGAR GROVE, Ill. (UCFKnights.com) -- The first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship was delayed by weather late Friday afternoon and evening. The Knights had played between two and five holes when they had to seek shelter.
UCF was 1-under par and tied for ninth at the start of the delay. Junior Manuel Elvira carded an eagle on his second hole and was 2-under after just two holes of play.Freshman Bobby Bai was even after three holes, while senior Ryan Stovash was also even after five holes of play. Sophomore Kyler Tate was +1 through three holes. Junior Juuso Kahlos opened with a birdie, but bogeyed the next three holes and sat at 2-over when the weather delay was announced.
