HOUSTON, Texas (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF track and field team closed out the 2017 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with seven podium finish performances at the Carl Lewis International Complex on Sunday.

The Knights earned 10 podium finishes on the weekend, and tallied 99.50 points to finish fourth in the team standings. The Black and Gold also added three points to the UCF total in the War on I4 rivalry series. The Knights clinched the first overall title against the Bulls, but now hold a 49-32 advantage.

Anne-Marie Blaney pushed her weekend total to 24 points with a pair of medals on Sunday. She earned her second silver medal of meet in the 1500-meter run, crossing the line in 4:23.22. Blaney collected her third podium finish of the meet with a second place finish in the 5,000-meter run, posting a time of 16:34.71.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Ebony Crear turned in a personal-best performance to earn a silver medal. She finished second with a time of 58.90.

Rosie Chamberlain added a silver medal to her accolades in the 800-meter run. She finished in 2:06.50. Crystal Tejeda joined Chamberlain in the top eight, as her 2:12.60 time gave her seventh place.

In the 400-meter dash, Ashley Jocelyn picked up a bronze medal with a time of 53.83.

The 4x400 relay team of Ebony Crear, Ashley Jocelyn, Tere Cooley and Rosie Chamberlain closed out the meet with UCF's seventh silver medal of the weekend. The squad turned in a season-best mark of 3:37.32 to finish second in the event.

In its four seasons of competing in The American, UCF's 4x100 relay squad has finished on the podium at each outdoor championship. On Sunday, Ashley Jocelyn, J'Nea Bellamy, Loren Gallmon and SheKara Martin posted a season-best mark of 44.69 to finish third.

SheKara Martin added nine points to UCF's total on Sunday. She finished fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.52 and took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 23.58. J'Nea Bellamy joined her in the top eight in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.68.

Natosha Jordan cleared 5-4.5/1.64m on her first attempt to finish fifth in the high jump. Kebreyona Acker cleared the mark on her third attempt to tie for sixth place overall.

Tayla Greene added a point with a 147-9/45.04m distance for eighth place in the discus. Briana Potter tallied a point with an eighth place finish in the triple jump, going 38.325/11.66m.

The Knights now wait until later this week for the NCAA to release the list of athletes that qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Lexington, Ky., May 25-27. The top 48 individuals and top 24 relays qualify for the regional meet.
