AUGUSTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's golf team captured the team title at the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club on Sunday.  
 
"This was a great team win," head coach Bryce Wallor said. "We have been on the verge of playing well and it all clicked this week. We have played the regular season undefeated in the AAC so far and we hope to continue building on this success going into the post season."
 
UCF entered the final round in third, trailing Illinois and New Mexico by two strokes. The Knights turned in their best round of the weekend, with four members finishing under par and the fifth carding an even-par score.
 
The Knights claimed the 3M Augusta Invitational title for the second time, after taking the title in 2014.
 
Freshman Bobby Bai paced UCF all weekend and tied for second in the final standings. He turned in scores of 69, 68 and 69 to finish 10 strokes under par.
 
Junior Manuel Elvira stayed consistent in all three rounds, carding a trio of 69 scores. The Santandar, Spain, native finished fourth with a nine under par score.
 
Every Knight finished in the top 35. Junior Juuso Kahlos tied for 25th, finishing two strokes under par. Sophomore Kyler Tate tied for 30th with a one-stroke under par score of 215. Sophomore Donnie Trosper posted scores of 75, 70 and 71 to tie for 35th.
 
UCF returns to action April 15-16 at the Boilermaker Invitational.
