ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After sweeping ECU on the road over the weekend, the UCF baseball team is scheduled to host Bethune-Cookman at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow night at the UCF Baseball Complex. Back on March 21st, the Knights took game one of the home and home series from the Wildcats, winning 5-4 in 11 innings at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

The Knights were down early in the first meeting, but were able to tie the game on a three-run rally in the eighth inning. It was a solo home run in the 11th by catcher Logan Heiser that was ultimately the difference.

UCF is 26-11 overall coming into Tuesday's match up, while BCU has a season record of 22-17. The Wildcats are just 8-11 on the road in 2017 while the Black and Gold boast a 21-6 record at home. The Knights also hold the advantage in the all-time series, leading 79-17.

Redshirt sophomore Chris Williams is expected to make his seventh start of the year for the home team.  Williams is 1-3 with a 3.49 ERA, 25 strikeouts, and 10 walks through 38.2 innings pitched. Senior left-hander Donte Lindsay is scheduled to throw for the visitors.

The Knights hit a combined .270 over the weekend, posting 24 runs on 31 hits and 13 walks against the Pirates. Third baseman Kam Gellinger notched his first home run of the season in game two, when he delivered a grand slam and UCF posted nine runs in the eighth inning.

The UCF pitching staff currently ranks third in NCAA Division I with a 2.52 ERA. The Knights also rank 12th in the nation with 65 stolen bases and 15th in stolen bases per game at 1.76.
