WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF men's golf team sits in fourth place at the Boilermaker Invitational after two rounds. The first 36 holes of the event were played Saturday.

Kent State leads the way at +5, with Purdue (+11), UNLV (+13), UCF (+16) all in contention in the 15-team event. The Knights opened with a first-round tally of 295 and closed out the day with a 297.

Juniors Manuel Elvira and Juuso Kahlos are both tied for 10th place to lead the way for the Knights. Elvira opened with a 77 (+5), but rebounded. His 70 (-2) in the second round left him 3-over for the tournament. Kahlos carded a 75 (+3) in his first 18 holes, but came back at even par on the second loop around the course to also come in at +3 for the day.

Sophomore Donnie Trosper is tied for 23rd. He turned in scores of 73 and 76 Saturday. Freshman Bobby Bai (73-79-152 +8) is currently tied for 39th. Sophomore Kyler Tate (74-79-153 +9) rounded out the UCF team lineup. He is tied for 46th. George Williams (82-75-157 +13) is taking part as an individual.
