ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Head coach Bryan Koniecko announced his 2017 UCF Women's Tennis signing class on Thursday afternoon. The Knights welcome a pair of Spaniards, a Russian and a Hungarian.

"We are very excited to add these four young women to our UCF family," Koniecko said. "Not only are they tremendous tennis players, but they come from great families who I have had the pleasure of spending time with. They are high character individuals and we are eager to get to work with the new class. The future is bright and I am excited to see where they take us."

Silvia Bordes and Rebeka Stolmar signed National Letters of Intent in November.

Bordes, a Denia native, has ranked as high as No. 36 in Spain. She won the Matua Madrid Open in the Under 16 division, as well as the Juan Carlos Ferraro Gold Edition tournament.

A Budapest native, Stolmar is a five-time Hungarian singles champion, and has won six ITF (International Tennis Foundation) Pro Circuit doubles titles. She ranked as high as No. 86 in the ITF Junior Circuit. On the ITF Pro Circuit, she has ranked as
high as No. 646 in singles and No. 431 in doubles.

The Knights inked Ksenia Kuznetsova and Maria Martinez this week.

Kuznetsova is ranked No. 30 in Spain. She sits at No. 1000 in the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) singles rankings and at No.1164 in the WTA doubles rankings. The Valencia native was a finalist in the ITF Grade 1 Casablanca doubles tournament.

Martinez has been ranked as high as No. 22 in Spain. She has sat as high as No. 728 in the WTA singles rankings and as high as No. 598 in the WTA doubles rankings. The Benidorm native has won the doubles bracket of the Grade 1 ITF $10,000 tournament.

UCF returns to action on Saturday, hosting USF at the USTA National Campus with an opportunity to clinch the War on I-4 rivalry. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
