ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- UCF's football facility will now be known as Spectrum Stadium. The stadium, which opened in 2007, had previously been known as Bright House Networks Stadium.
Much of the signage in and around the stadium will be updated over the next few months, leading up to the start of the 2017 football regular season.
The first event to be held in the building under the Spectrum Stadium name will be UCF's annual Spring Game, which is slated for April 22, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. There is a full day of events surrounding Spectrum Stadium prior to the Spring Game, with the second UCFastival slated to get started at 11 a.m.
The following is a look at the 2017 UCF Football home schedule, to be played at Spectrum Stadium:
- Sept. 2 (Sat.) vs. FIU
- Sept. 9 (Sat.) vs. Memphis* (Family Weekend)
- Sept. 16 (Sat.) vs. Georgia Tech
- Sept. 30 (Sat.) vs. Maine
- Oct. 14 (Sat.) vs. East Carolina* (Homecoming)
- Nov. 11 (Sat.) vs. UConn*
- Nov. 24 (Fri.) vs. USF* (War On I-4)
Spring Game Details
The second UCFastival will be held April 22, beginning at 11 a.m. The pre-game festivities will be highlighted by a concert from country music sensation Lauren Alaina.
